Let's talk about Virgin for a minute...

... I have nothing but good things to say about Virgin. They don't take themselves too seriously, unlike some other stations that won't be named. Must be because of their down-to-earth owner. Whatever the reason, I really like them. Kind, fair, and don't think they're better than anyone else (even though they ARE!) Great music, fun hosts, no attitude.

To boot, they have the BEST contests. Seriously. Who else would send you to Boston for 2 days to see Pink, New York for three days to shop, and then FIVE days in the Virgin Islands to recover?! Who else would do that?? Nobody! Yes, yes, $15,000 is nice. But you and I both know we would just pay bills with it. Virgin is forcing you to have a good time! Forcing you.

Firstly, I missed the Pink concert here, one of my most epic fails. Secondly, Boston and New York are on my bucket list. Thirdly, I just need to lie on a beach. Need. To. And if they just give me money, I'll feel obligated to be responsible with it. Since when are rock stars responsible?!?! I want to live like a rock star, if only for 10 days!

All you have to do is be the 9th caller when they play the song of the day, which is announced in the morning but is also up on their site by 8:30 am. Start calling when you hear the song, don't wait until it's over. The winner will be announced on November 22nd.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opprtunity! So keep it locked on Virgin until you get your ass in that draw. And then keep it there just because they're awesome.

My Weekend Rap-Up, Nov 4th

Friday night was nothin' but a PAR-TAY!
A party of one but still o-kay!

Hubby was working
So I got to twerking
Watching X Factor
Jiving and jerking.

Not a pretty picture,
Glad kids were in bed!
If they'd seen
I'd lose my street cred!

Saturday was busy
Playdates and piano
I say they need lessons
But hey, what do I know.

Sunday had a sick kid
Feverish and lethargic
Threw a wrench in my plans
But it's all worth it.

Little one got better
So we had another play date
Friends came for dinner
Kids went apeshit

After they left
Second one got sick
Bedtime was easy
Not the usual shtick

Gave both kids Tylenol
To get their fevers down
Little one peed the bed
At least it wasn't brown...

I got nuthin'...

...but bad grammar!

A slow weekend, which is perfect actually. I'm exhausted from last week and I need a break! LOL! I haven't even turned on the radio today. At all. Not even during my 1 hour in the car.

This weekend:

Is Sonic still taking qualifiers for the NYE in Vegas trip? Probably. If I DO turn on the radio, I will listen to Sonic.

JRFM is giving away CDs, and I'm sure I heard something about Fan Jam tickets. But I haven't looked into it. Still want that $5000! LOL!

I was so sad to hear Gold Digger end, but I'm excited to hear what Nat and Drew will announce on Monday! What could it be?? Trips?? I guess we will have to wait and see. I'd love to see some guesses though!

I will have a MUCH better, more interesting post tomorrow! Promise!!
