The contest rules state that you are to submit a song no more than 5 minutes in length in an mp3 format. Sounds reasonable. But then Rule 6 comes along:
"6. Judging will be comprised of industry professionals, radio station staff and online public voting. The public will be invited to provide their vote from March 10th to March 24th. The radio station executives will measure this feedback to create a social media score. Entries will be judged on the following criteria:
a.) songwriting quality – originality, lyrics, melody, composition
b.) artist or band performance (based on both audio recording and video link)
c.) overall musicianship of artist or band"

Ummm...video link?? Huh. So as well as recording the song, your application may be enhanced by adding a link to a video of the song. What a great idea! And they just slipped it in there. This should be a bigger part of the promotion for the contest - who wouldn't want to make a music video?!?! So FUN!
I wish I could sing...or dance...or play an instrument... The most I can do is write lyrics. I wrote a song called "Mommy's Having a Bad Day", so if there's a band of tired mommies that wants to record a music video, let me know! :D
