Have you ever heard the KCS on Sonic do their Weekend Rap-Ups? It's loads of fun! And always inspires me to do my own version. So here it is:
The weekend flew by
But at least it was dry
No rain, yo!
Fog's a pain tho!
Planes couldn't fly!
This crazy inversion
Is melting all the snow
Sledding with the kids
Was a no-go.
Kids were sick anyway
With a persistent cough
Made them wear hats
But they took 'em off.
Friends came for dinner and drinks around the fire,
Her hubby couldn't make it, sadly
Because we had a jam session with hubby on guitar, friend on piano
Son on drums and me singing badly.
Sunny Saturday
We cleaned the yard
Rode bikes to the candy store
I paid with my card
Socked in Sunday
Walked on the beach
Came across a dead seal,
Used it as a moment to teach
Had burgers at Vera's
You really CAN'T beat their meat!
Even the kids pigged out
They don't usually eat!
A quiet weekend
It was, it was
Which clears the soul
