New this week

While the song remains the same for Gold Digger, 5 for 5 words, DYOB, Bahamian Odyssey, and Sonic's NYE trip, there are a few noteworthy additions to the schedule.

Firstly, The Peak's DYOB trip this week is to Whistler for Cornucopia, the food porn fest. The trip is from Nov 15-17, Friday - Sunday, and includes "some" tickets to events. There are OODLES of events taking place, so hopefully you get more than one or two pairs of tickets. I checked the Cornucopia site and event tickets are NOT cheap! It would be worth the trip just to stay at the Pan Pacific Mountainside for 2 nights though! So I will be entering these draws with you, fully expecting to NOT win. LOL!

Second item of note is the QMFM trip to Paris for the Celine Dion concert. Now, I'm not a big fan of Celine, but I would be thrilled to go see her in Paris! Thrilled! Or else I'd scalp the tickets and go up the Eiffel Tower instead, except that I'd probably get ripped off because I don't speak French and am unfamiliar with the value of the Euro. LOL! However, the thoughtful folks at Bell Media are including $500 spending money! Very nice! So that will at least pay for some bread and cheese (I hear Paris is expensive!) ;) You have 3 chances per day to get into the draw for this, and there will be only ONE winner. Another addition this week is the Punta Cana trips that The Beat is giving away. There are 20 trips total, one given away to caller 94 each weekday. The cue to call will happen at 8:10, but I personally won't start calling until 8:20, as I expect them to drag this out too. It would be a wonderful getaway, but this too is at an adults-only resort. Winning this would require flying in a family member to care for the kids while we are away. Spend a little, get a LOT! Totally worth it...

Last but certainly not least is Shore's trip to Buenos Aires to see the Dave Matthews Band on December 14th! Flights, four hotel nights, tickets to the concert, and a sightseeing tour. Merry fricking Christmas!!! Listen for DMB's Where Are You Going and call in to get into the draw. Caller 9 gets it!
